The new TV fits on the wall just fine, but I didn’t consider the extra height.

Even with the wall mount at its lowest setting, the bottom of the TV was going to be too low for the soundbar on the fire surround below it.

This meant having to physically remove and reinstall the wall mount, but due to the plaster being crap and the new required holes being too close to the previous ones, I had to move the wall mount over a couple of inches.

The mount has some horizontal give, so after a little adjustment the main attachment plate was central.

The TV went up and sits just above the soundbar, all nice and neatly.

I also made a couple of holes in the fire surround and ran the twin socket extension lead through the fire surround and out at the very bottom of one side, so there’s no unsightly white wire hanging down the side any more.

All in all, a good job has been done.
